According to media reports, the annual Shri Amarnath yatra for this year is expected to commence on June 29. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, also serving as the Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, chaired a meeting at Raj Bhawan to discuss the arrangements and preparations for the pilgrimage.
The yatra, spanning 52 days, is slated to conclude on August 19, coinciding with the festival of Rakshabandhan. Media reports suggest that following the Lok Sabha Polls, the administration will focus on preparations for the Shri Amarnath yatra, scheduled from June 29 to August 19.
Anticipated to start next month at various bank branches, registration for the yatra is expected. Upon the official announcement, preparations are set to accelerate swiftly. Media reports also indicate that live telecasts of Aarti for the yatra will likely begin in July.
