Police on Wednesday advised people to install CCTVs in their houses, shops to avoid burglaries.
In a tweet, Srinagar police wrote, “There have been case of theft/ burglaries in houses/Shops in city, these were invariably without any CCTV cameras. Some cases were solved & recoveries were made. Advising all those who can afford, to install CCTV cameras as it is biggest tool in investigation & solving the case.
A senior police officer has said that DM order under CrPC 144 also stands issued, and non compliance may lead to FIR under sec 188 of IPC.
