Srinagar:
Two army troopers were injured in an ongoing encounter between government forces and militants in the Zadan area of Kastigarh, Doda district.
Officials told the local news agency GNS reported that the army observed suspicious movement near LHS Zada.
“During the search operation, contact was established with the militants, triggering a gunfight,” an official stated.
In the initial exchange of fire,two army troopers were injured and were immediately shifted to nearby hospital, he said.
Till this report was being filed, operation in the area was still underway.
