An Army jawan was injured today in a standoff firing incident at the Sunjwan military station in Jammu. According to Defence officials, militants fired from a distance outside the base, targeting the sentry on duty. The injured jawan has been moved to a medical facility for treatment.

Around 10:15 a.m., militants attacked the Base Camp. The army responded with retaliatory fire, leading to an exchange of gunfire. During the firefight, one army soldier was injured by gunfire and was evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In response, security forces have been put on high alert, and a massive search operation is underway. The entire Army base has been sealed off to prevent any movement, and additional forces have been deployed in the area.
