Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that no stone pelter or militant will be released in Jammu and Kashmir, and there will be no talks with Pakistan until militancy is eradicated.
Speaking at an election rally in Nowshera in support of Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina, Shah emphasized that he prefers dialogue with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the NC-Congress alliance want to release stone pelters and militants, “as promised in their manifesto after forming the government.” Amit Shah added that Farooq Abdullah is talking about the revival of militancy in Jammu hills, but let me tell them, this is Modi’s government, and we will “bury militancy deep inside the earth.”
The Home Minister criticized the NC and Congress for advocating talks with Pakistan.
“I want to tell Farooq Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan until militancy is wiped out,” he said.
Responding to comments by NC-Congress leaders regarding reservations, Shah reaffirmed that reservations for marginalized groups, including Paharis, Gujjars, Dalits, and other backward classes, would remain untouched.
“Rahul Gandhi is saying in America that there is no need for reservation. I want to tell him that you will not be allowed to end reservation for deserving communities,” Shah said.
