NIT campus to come up in Pulwama

The Deputy Commissioner Pulwama has initiated the process of transferring 4,834 kanals and 19 marlas of state land for establishing a new campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar in Hazratbal.

According to an official statement, the district administration has formed a team to expedite the preparation of essential revenue documents. The team includes officers and officials from multiple tehsils, such as Naib Tehsildars from Newa and Kakapora, along with revenue staff, including Girdawars and Patwaris, from areas like Trich, Parigam, Patalbagh, Kangan, and Newa.

These officials have been instructed to report to the office of the Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Pulwama, to commence the necessary work.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner’s office has communicated the directive to the Tehsildars of Pulwama, Pampore, Kakapora, and Rajpora for their attention and further action.
