By Ritika Jain Supreme Court Constitution Bench in a 4:1 majority upheld the Centre’s 2016 economic policy on demonetisation where it banned Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency notes. Justice BR Gavai, who authored the majority verdict said the Centre’s move was reasonable and the decision-making was not flawed.
