Azad laments exploitation of Kashmiris by political parties

Chairman of DPAP, Ghulam Nabi Azad today addressed a public gathering in Charar-i-Sharif, Budgam.

Azad’s visit commenced with a tribute at the revered Hazrat Sheikh Noor ud din Wali (RA) shrine. He pledged to transform the shrine into a premier pilgrim tourist destination, aimed at bolstering the local economy. Additionally, he outlined ambitious plans to enhance the infrastructure of Yusmarg, envisaging a surge in job opportunities for the educated unemployed youth. Moreover, Azad announced Vice Chairman & Former Cabinet Minister G.M. Saroori as the candidate for the Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Azad stated, “I am confident that under G.M. Saroori, the Udhampur-Doda constituency will witness unparalleled progress and development.”

Azad expressed grave concern over the troubling trend of arbitrary detentions, highlighting the plight of countless young individuals ensnared in the web of unjust imprisonment. He emphasized that if there are no serious charges against these youth, the government should expedite their release.

Azad lamented the historical exploitation of Kashmiris by other political parties.

He underscored the impact of his previous initiatives, including the establishment of colleges, the creation of the renowned Tulip Garden, the construction of the Hajj House, and the expansion of the education and road infrastructure throughout the region. “I have always been steadfast in my dedication to the development of Kashmir,” said Azad, as he reflected on his track record of delivering tangible benefits to the people.
