The News Craving

Srinagar:

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced on Thursday that he will visit the Warwan region in Kishtwar district, where a massive fire on Monday destroyed over fifty residential homes.

The newly elected CM will meet with the affected families and personally oversee the ongoing relief operations.

An official said that the purpose of Abdullah’s visit is to assess the situation firsthand and ensure that necessary relief measures are in place.

Ahead of his visit, Abdullah reaffirmed his commitment to helping the victims, stating, “I am traveling to Marwah to meet the families whose lives have been turned upside down by this tragic fire,” in a message shared on his official X-handle.
