Srinagar:
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief, Tariq Hameed Karra, announced on Wednesday that the Congress Party will not join the Council of Ministers in Jammu and Kashmir, expressing frustration over the delay in restoring the region’s statehood.
Karra highlighted the unfulfilled promises made by the Prime Minister during public meetings regarding statehood. “We are dissatisfied, and therefore we will not be joining the Ministry at this time,” he stated.
Former JKPCC Chief G A Mir echoed the party’s position, reaffirming their commitment to shared goals but insisting, “We will not take the oath until statehood is restored.”
