A massive fire broke out in the Nowhatta area of Srinagar on Tuesday morning, causing significant damage to at least five houses, officials reported.
An official told the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the fire originated in a house located in the Bahodeen Sahab locality and quickly spread to neighboring structures.
“Fire tenders were dispatched immediately to the scene,” the official stated. “At least five houses have been damaged, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.”
Efforts to douse the flames continued, with firefighters working tirelessly to prevent further damage.
