Srinagar:
Media reports indicate that Iran is poised to retaliate against Israeli attacks.
According to these reports, Iran reserves “its right to respond to any acts of hostility.”
“There is no doubt that Israel will receive an appropriate response to any move against Iran,” one report quoted.
Early Saturday morning, several explosions were heard in Tehran, primarily in the western part of the city. These blasts were attributed to Iranian Army air defenses engaging with Israeli military operations in three nearby locations.
Despite these incidents, officials maintain that Tehran is functioning normally. Both Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) and Mehrabad Airport are reportedly operating without disruptions.
Saeed Chalandari, CEO of IKIA, confirmed that the airport remains stable and free of security concerns. Flights began departing as scheduled from 5:30 AM local time, with no cancellations reported. Officials at Mehrabad Airport also indicated that flight operations are running smoothly.
On October 1, Iran had previously retaliated for the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC General Abbas Nilforoushan, launching up to 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli military and intelligence bases.
Iranian officials have warned that any Israeli actions will be met with proportional, and well-calculated response.
