The Meteorological Department in Srinagar has forecast light snowfall in the higher elevations of Jammu and Kashmir on October 16 and 17. Until October 15, the weather is expected to remain predominantly dry across the region.
From October 11 to 15, dry weather is anticipated, but from October 16 onwards, the forecast suggests cloudy conditions with light rain and possible snowfall in higher areas of Kashmir. Scattered thunderstorms are also expected in some parts of Kashmir, while Jammu may experience isolated rainfall.
For October 18-19, the weather may turn partly cloudy, with light rain possible in isolated areas of Kashmir.
The forecast highlights the potential for light snow with gusty winds and thunderstorms in isolated areas during the mid-October period.
