Two unidentified militants were killed in a gunfight with joint team of police and security forces in Hyderpora area of Srinagar on Monday, police said. “01 unidentified (militant) killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow,” police said in a tweet earlier. Later the toll was revised to two. “Encounter has started at Hyderpora Srinagar. Police & Security Forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” police had said in a tweet. Srinagar city has witnessed an uptick in gunfights.
