A massive earthquake rocked Kashmir forcing people out on the roads and creating mass panic.
The quake also left the phone services disrupted while the people ran out of their houses as the buildings shook after the tremors.
As per reports the quake of 6.6 magnitude hit Afghanistan and the shocks were also felt in Kashmir. There were no immediate reports of loss to life.
The earthquake was at the latitude 36.09 degrees north and longitude 71.35 degrees east, a meteorological department official said here. The epicenter was Hindu Kush Region, he said.
There was no immediate report of any damages. Media reports quoted the National Centre for Seismology saying that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter Scale hit 133km SSE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan, at 10:17 pm.
