In a tragic incident, a mother and her two children lost their lives in a midnight blaze in the Badhat Drabshalla area of Kishtwar.
Officials said that the fire broke out late at night in the home of Khurshid Ahmad in the Jashar hamlet of Badhat. The blaze erupted in one of the rooms while the mother and her two children were asleep. Due to the intense flames, they were unable to escape.
Despite the efforts of police, fire personnel, and local residents to rescue the family, all three died in the devastating fire. The victims have been identified as Nazia Begum, the mother, and her children Amna Bano, 7, and Rizwan, 4.
A police officer stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. A case has been registered, and inquiries are ongoing.
