The News Craving
Srinagar:
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has amended the Civil Services Rules to establish a Services Selection Board responsible for recruiting non-gazetted staff, including Class-IV employees (Multitasking Staff – MTS).
The amendment specifies, “A Service Selection Board shall be constituted for making selections for recruitment to subordinate services/non-gazetted/Class IV (MTS) posts in any government department, Public Sector Undertaking, or government-controlled organization in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.”
This decision has drawn criticism. PDP leader Naeem Akhtar voiced his concerns on X, noting the move has come, “Just when the elected government is about to be sworn in.”
