One person was confirmed dead and three more injured after an attack in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday, according to hospital sources. Both Israeli and Palestinian officials identified the attacker as a member of Palestinian militant group Hamas. The shooter opened fire before being shot dead by security forces. He was also armed with a knife. First responders said the incident took place near the Temple Mount, which is known as the Noble Sanctuary to Muslims.
