The News Craving
Srinagar:
Saudi Arabia has condemned Israel’s recent strikes on Iran, denouncing them as a “violation of its sovereignty” and a breach of international laws.
In a statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Riyadh urged all parties to practice maximum restraint and called on the international community to take swift action to de-escalate tensions and end conflicts in the region.
The condemnation follows reports of Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military sites, including air defense installations and ballistic missile facilities, which Israel claimed were involved in Iran’s attacks on October 1 and April 14.
Saudi statement refrained from directly naming Israel.
Diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and Riyadh remain unestablished, despite U.S. diplomatic efforts that stalled after last year’s October 7 attack on southern Israel and the subsequent Gaza conflict.
