Srinagar:

Srinagar experienced its coldest night of the season as the mercury dipped to -0.7°C, marking the summer capital’s first sub-zero temperature this winter.

In South Kashmir, Shopian recorded an even colder -3.9°C, while Pahalgam followed closely at -3.7°C, underscoring the growing intensity of the night chill across the region.

Temperature drop is attributed to prevailing dry weather conditions, which are expected to continue across Jammu and Kashmir until November 23. A wet spell is likely afterward, as forecasted by the meteorological department.
