The News Craving
Srinagar:
Traffic flow resumed on the strategic Srinagar-Jammu highway on Friday, albeit at a slow pace due to restricted to single lane movement.
An official reported that vehicles were moving along the national highway, albeit with sluggish progress particularly in the Ramsoo sector where single lane and poor road conditions persisted.
Commuters were advised to adhere to lane discipline, especially in areas like Dalwas, Cafeteria-Mehad, and Gangroo, where single lane traffic was in effect, alongside encountering poor road surfaces between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.
Additionally, caution was urged for the possibility of falling stones between Ramban and Banihal. It’s noteworthy that traffic was only restored on Thursday for stranded vehicles following a three-day disruption.
