A man in his 30s was tragically electrocuted at his home in Zaingeer village, located in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials reported on Sunday morning.
Ishfaq Ahmad Gojree (31), the son of Ghulam Mohammad Gojree and a resident of Harwan Bomai, was an auto driver by profession. He received the fatal electric shock during the night, according to the officials.
Gojree was immediately taken to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police have acknowledged the incident and have begun an investigation.
Following the completion of medico-legal formalities, Gojree’s body has been handed over to his family for the last rites, reported news agency KNO.
