As temperatures continue to remain several degrees below freezing point, local markets are witnessing an increase in the sale of winter essentials, including woolens, thermal wear, and blankets. Kashmir is currently experiencing a prolonged cold spell, with temperatures dropping well below zero. On Monday, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius, similar to the previous night, while Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 4 degrees Celsius, a slight dip from the night before.
