Aga Syed Mujtaba Rizvi of Jammu and Kashmir Anjumani Shari Shian has condemned the derogatory remarks against companions of Prophet (PBUH). Cyber Police Kashmir on Wednesday said that they have arrested six miscreants for inciting sectarian unrest through derogatory remarks who have been lodged at Central Jail Srinagar. It issued an advisory urging all social media users to maintain online decorum and refrain from posting, sharing, or amplifying any content that promotes sectarian hatred or disrupts sectarian harmony. An incident of derogatory remarks came to fore through a viral video from Kralapora area of Kashmir.

Congress has favoured caste census to resolve the reservation row in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier protests were taken out in Srinagar by students lead by NC MP, Aga Ruhulla, who sought proper representation to open merit candidates in jobs and admission to academic institutions.

Mosques across Kashmir are facing shortage of firewood. The requirement of firewood for hamams is significantly higher than what the Forest department provides them due to which several mosque committees rely on the purchase from local market. Members of mosque committees in Chadoora said the rates per quintal of firewood are at least three times than government rates.
