KMAS organises seminar in memory of late educationist Muzafar Haji

The Kashmir Markazi Adab and Sakafat (KMAS) organised a seminar today on the fourth day of death of renowned educationist of Charari Sharief, Mohd Muzaffar Haji.

The seminar opened with introductory note presented by KMAS, general secretary, Inayat Gul.

Gul spoke at length about the virtues of the deceased and hailed his philonthropical approach in helping out poor and needy.

He said that the deceased had  written voluminous poems which will be shaped into a book.

He recalled that the 72-year old Muzaffar was a teacher of eminence who  retired as zonal education officer (ZEO) and was an erudite scholar who remained teacher for several years and imparted education at Higher Secondary school Charari Sharief .

His mainstays were his deep understanding of the poetry of Mirza Ghalib, Dr Sir Mohd Iqbal and Maulana Rumi.

Several poets of Kashmir participated in the programme and presented their poetry and through their verses eulogised  the deceased.

President KMAS, Dr Gazanfar Ali, conveyed condolences to the bereaved family from Dehli on phone. On  the occasion Gul recited  a poem by Dr Gazanfar Ali about the deceased .

Among others who spoke on the occasion include Molvi Bashir Baba, 
Master Bashir Masroor, Faqeer Rahi Shah,  Ali Ahsan,  Umer Haji, 
Irshad Ahmad Butt,  Yasin Madhosh, Ghulam Ahmad Makhmoor, Farooq Trali,  Saima Ashraf, Inayat Gul,  Dr Zaman Auzordah, Prof Farooq Fayaz, Prof Shad Ramzan.

Editor Brighter Kashmir Farooq Wani spoke about his association with the deceased. 

Nephew of the deceased and journalist Ishfaq Naseem also spoke on the Sufi strand of Islam and it’s influence on the deceased.

The event was also attended by renowned persian poets Assadullah Asad,Ghulam Mohi ud din Shah, Abdul Rehman Lateef and sufi saint Rahim Rehbar.

On the occasion the life story of a deceased written  by famous fiction writer of J&K Dr. Sohan Lal Koul was also played out.
