Heavy rainfall causes hardships in Anantnag town; Former Minister urges action

The residents of Anantnag Town are grappling with difficulties as heavy rainfall has led to the accumulation of water in various areas, exacerbating long-standing drainage issues. Numerous complaints have flooded in since morning, highlighting the challenges faced by the locals due to waterlogging, the NC said.

The situation has been particularly severe around the Anantnag bus stand, where the drainage problem has persisted for an extended period.

Former Minister and senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference , Peer Mohd Hussain, has urged the Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, to promptly address the matter. Expressing concern over the hardships faced by the people, Hussain emphasized the urgency of finding a sustainable solution to the drainage issue.

In a post on X, Hussain brought the matter to the notice of DC Anantnag.
