Militant killed, another arrested; CRPF trooper wounded in seperate Kashmir incidents

A  Lashkar-i-Toiba militant was killed in a shootout in Harwan Darbagh Dhara area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
The militant was killed in the wee hours on Sunday, a top police officer confirmed to GNS.
 According to the officer, the government forces acted on a specific information generated by the police and a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Harwan area.
The slain militant seems to be a foreigner, the officer added.
Meanwhile an active militant of The Resistance Front outfit was arrested by police at KP road in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district after they acted on a specific information about his presence.

The militant was arrested near AL Noor Masjid at KP Road and has been identified as Feroz Ahmad Zargar(34) alias Kamraan son of Ghulam Mohudin resident of Gratabal Qaimoh of Kulgam district.His elder brother Majid Zargar was a top LeT Commander who was killed in 2017 at Arwani.

Meanwhile a CRPF trooper, who was part of a road opening party, sustained critical injuries after he was hit by an Alto car in Kadalbal Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The trooper sustained injuries as he was part of a road opening party.

The CRPF constable Shrawan Kumar of 130 Batallion was performing duty on the highway when he was hit by an Alto car bearing registration number JK22 5839.

The constable was shifted to to Primary Health Centre Awantipora for treatment from where the doctors referred him to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

A police official confirming the incident has said they have taken cognizance of the incident.
